On 21 February, the Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) organised a talk on “Accurate Pre-Declaration, Spot and Report” with SFHK to share counter terrorism and security messages, encouraging the sector to make proper customs declarations and timely report terrorism or violence related information.

Participants agreed to join efforts in promoting the Spot and Report campaign by ways of broadcasting promotional videos on “Run, Hide, Report” and “Spot and Report” and making use of self-help lockers to disseminate Spot and Report message, with a view to enhancing the public’s awareness on counter terrorism.  At the end of the talk, ICTU presented certificates of appreciation to personnel of the sector to recognise their active participation and support to the campaign as well as their contribution in acting as a gatekeeper for the community. 

The “Accurate Pre-Declaration, Spot and Report” campaign was launched in the fourth quarter of 2023 targeting at members of the land, sea and air logistic sector, cargo terminals, warehouses and logistics hubs.  ICTU would organise awareness briefing for the members with topics on how to identify suspicious goods, consignors and consignees, so as to enhance their staff’s security awareness and capability in identifying suspicious issues, and to build a ‘Safe Community’ with united efforts.
