Joint Departmental Operation • Strengthening Chemical Safety Management
To enhance the industry’s safety management of chemicals, the Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU), in collaboration with the Dangerous Goods Enforcement Division of the Fire Services Department, conducted a joint operation on various chemical outlets and hardware stores across the region on September 26 and 27. This initiative aimed to enforce regulations and educate the public on safety practices.
ICTU reminds the industry to be vigilant and report to ICTU via “CT Reporting Hotline” 63-666-999 if they notice anyone unusually purchasing large quantities of different kinds of chemicals. Reports significant to investigation will stand a chance of getting a reward.
