To enhance the public\u2019s counter-terrorism (CT) awareness, the Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) held the \u201cCT@Community Activity Day\u201d at Fire and Ambulance Services Academy for the first time on August 18. About 120 members from the youth or community engagement programmes associated with the six member departments of ICTU attended the event.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Through fun games, exhibitions and a \u201cGuided Emergency Response Demonstration\u201d drill, the participants\u2019 CT awareness was strengthened. The guided demonstration allowed the participants to experience firsthand the application of \u201cRun, Hide, Report\u201d and \u201cThree Basic Skills on Emergency Preparedness\u201d in the event of a terrorist attack.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
During the event, ICTU also promoted its \u201cSpot and Report\u201d public education campaign aiming to educate the public on how to identify suspicious circumstances as well as encourage them to report on any suspected terrorism-related information.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
