The Secretary for Security Mr Tang Ping-keung led the delegation from the Security Bureau to visit the \u201cSafe Community Hub\u201d (the Hub) on April 9.<\/p>\n
Officers of the Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) briefed the delegation on ICTU\u2019s latest development.\u00a0 At the Hub, the delegation tried out respective exhibition and interactive experiences designed by the six member departments of ICTU, including virtual reality\/augmented reality, motion detection, interactive hologram, and flight simulation etc., to experience on how to mitigate the risk of terrorist attacks.\u00a0 They then gathered at check-in spots for photos.<\/p>\n
To promote \u201cSpot and Report\u201d and the \u201cWhole-of-Community\u201d approach in counter-terrorism (CT), ICTU proactively takes forward CT public education and launched the first experience centre with CT theme at the Revenue Tower, Wan Chai in October last year, disseminating CT message \u00a0to the public through various interactive and enjoyable ways. \u00a0Within just six months of its launch, the Hub has organised over 90 visits and engaged with more than 2,800 citizens from different sectors and age groups.\u00a0 It has received staunch support and active participation from the general public.<\/p>\n
