{"id":8520,"date":"2025-03-19T00:01:12","date_gmt":"2025-03-19T00:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/localhost\/latest-news\/safecommunity-roadshow_tc\/"},"modified":"2025-03-19T02:55:21","modified_gmt":"2025-03-19T02:55:21","slug":"safecommunity-roadshow_en","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/localhost\/en\/latest-news\/safecommunity-roadshow_en\/","title":{"rendered":"First-ever \u201cSafe Community Roadshow\u201d successfully concluded"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) successfully held its first-ever &#8220;Safe Community Roadshow&#8221;. \u00a0Running over two consecutive weekends on February 15-16 and 22-23 at Tuen Mun Town Plaza and Metro City Plaza II in Tseung Kwan O, the event attracted a total of over 12,200 participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The roadshow featured six innovative interactive games and multiple photo spots, providing participants with an immersive experience to enhance their understanding of key counter-terrorism (CT) messages, such as &#8220;Spot and Report&#8221; and &#8220;Run, Hide, Report&#8221;. \u00a0These activities aimed to strengthen public awareness of emergency preparedness and promote self-protection skills.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the event, participants engaged in simulated real-life scenario to sharpen their observational skills and learn how to identify suspicious objects. \u00a0The &#8220;Spot and Report&#8221; game also allowed them to try reporting suspicious activities through WeChat mini-programme. \u00a0Amongst the various interactive experiences, the &#8220;Hide From Danger&#8221; game was particularly well received. \u00a0Participants had to avoid the suspicious figure\u2019s line of sight and take cover, reinforcing their ability to apply the &#8220;Run, Hide, Report&#8221; advisory effectively in emergency situations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the near future, ICTU will continue to organise a variety of activities across the community and schools to promote CT awareness, aiming to work hand in hand with the members of the public to build a safe community together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) successfully held its first-ever &#8220;Safe Community Roadshow&#8221;. \u00a0Running over two consecutive weekends on February 15-16 and 22-23 at Tuen Mun Town Plaza and Metro City Plaza II in Tseung Kwan O, the event attracted a total of over 12,200 participants.
